WILLRAD ABOUT: The people behind the cartoon people.

Willrad
Will is a big videogame-playing, indie-rock-listening, MAC-using, Linux-programming, whiskey-drinking geek. He is tall and gangly. He writes and stars in several willrad comics.
Famous people he may resemble: Ralph Macchio - Harry Potter - Tom Welling (that guy from Smallville)

Leah
Leah is a short curvy girl who spends all her free time making pictures, playing videogames, reading comics, and sometimes cleaning.

With their powers combined, Leah and Will make the willrad comic and live in a house with a very tiny bathroom and one bratty cat. With their powers combined, they have also defeated EarthBound (mother), Paper Mario 2 (twice), and Zelda: 4 Swords.

Are all these comics based in truth?
They're approximately 90% true, with that 10% being taken up by exaggeration and obvious lies about bears.

Will Willrad up the ante and become a bi-weekly, or tri-weekly updated comic?
Perhaps in the future, but at the moment, a full-time job, freelance work, and the occasional art show is enough to keep it at once-weekly for Leah. Here at Willrad Heavy Industries, Inc. we have proposed a more frequent updating schedule and will present it at the next board meeting.

What tools do you use to create Willrad?
Since I have a habit of wildly varying the style, Willrad comics are made using any number of the following items:

This comic makes no sense, what on earth are you doing?
Willrad changes style and tone every week, which are both ruled by what we think is funny at the moment. Some of the comics are autobiographical (like American Elf, but not as cool) and some are weird made up stuff (like Cat and Girl, but not as cool).

Can I read Willrad anywhere else?
Well, yes, we've made a convenient LJ feed, which is our lazy way of making a sort of RSS feed. This way, you can add lj-user Willrad to your friends list, and you won't have to fret over late uploads, or having to find a way to comment on the comic - it'll just be there under your gigantic list of other friends entries. Adding willrad to your LJ friends list will make you popular with the ladies. Well, at least one lady.

Can I reprint Willrad comic strips?
(I stole this questions from Diesel Sweeties, and stole the answer too)
Non-commercial republication of single Willrad strips is generally OK as long as you re-post them to your own server and do not directly link to images hosted here. Non-commercial use means using them on your blog, in a 'zine or printing one to hang near your desk. Confused? Drop me an email. If you want to use Willrad in a commercial publication, email me (leah at willrad dot com) and we will work out terms.
